|Long Review:||Well, it had to happen eventually. I've never yet looked at ready-to-use terrain seriously, but when I passed Mike's stand at Bovington, I just had to have a closer look. The hills are particularly eye-catching, and apparently make the bulk of his sales.
The sample hill I have is approximately 20" by 8", and is sturdily crafted. The base is MDF, and the raised portion is built up of some solid-surfaced material. The angles are gently sloped. The entire surface is covered with green flock (a very natural colour, too), except for the three small areas covered with sand and small pebbles as well as patches of static grass.
On inspection, it appears to be fairly sturdy (pressing my thumbnail into the surface produces no discernible long-term damage), and rubbing the surface fairly hard also didn't produce any immediately visible damage. I will be revisiting this review later on, after subjecting the hill to some usage.
