Long Review: | Chariot Wars (CW), was the first "real" supplement to hit the shelves. This was created by Nigel Stillman, a well-known and respected gamer and historian. CW concentrates on the period BC2500 - BC500, when chariots were the main arm of almost all the armies. The armies listed and covered are Sumerian & Akkadian, New Kingdom Egyptian, Hammurabic Babylonian Empire, the Hittite Empire, Mycenaean Greek and Trojan Armies, The Israelites and the Assyrian Empire (including Babylonians). There are also notes on tactics, painting, military organisation and informative illustrations and colour plates. All in all, a very good buy. Period: Ancients up to about 1485AD. Scale: 28mm, but can be used for 15mm with modifications. Basing: Single figures. Contents: Perfect-bound A4 book. |
