Long Review: | Since I'm new to Moderns, I'll confine my comments to the actual figures. I will, however return to this review once I've studied up on the kit worn and carried! Meanwhile: the figures are wearing a mixture of headgear (two in helmets with scrim, two in berets), and three have standard L85A1 or L85A2, while the firing figure has a longer one with a bipod. The detail and bulk of the clothing is well-defined, as is the light webbing they are all wearing. The poses are also really nice, looking suitably military while not falling into the overly active cartoony or movie-like trap. The actual castings are very neat indeed, with merely a few small, easily removed lines, and no excess sprue channels. |
Commentary: | Nice, but distinctly larger than the 28mm figures I'm used to handling. However, given that PSG have squad packs, and more than a squad or two per side isn't really neccessary in this scale, that shouldn't be a problem. |
