Crusader Miniatures

United Kingdom

Byzantine spearman, as delivered
As Delivered

Barrett Scale: 26M.
Mixes best with: Still working on that.
Long Review: In common with all of the other Crusader Miniatures figures I own, these are cleanly sculpted and cast. There is almost no visible mould line on most of the figures, and the poses are fairly standard, although one or two are a little stiff. I did find that the Russian helmets are a little oddly shaped, but all-in-all they are not displeasing.
Commentary: Serviceable figures, but a little bland. The kneeling figures also look a little short in the leg.
Historical Accuracy: Five Average. The helmets look a little odd, though.
Pose Quality: Four Average.
Sculpting: Four Good.
Casting: Five Neat. No major mould lines or runnels, no pitting or misaligned parts.
Sources: Purchased unopened packs from someone who was disposing of his WW2 collection.
Sculptors: Mark Sims
