Long Review: | I own two SdKfz 251/1, which was one of the first kits produced by NZWM. It is cast in an easy-to-work-with cream-coloured resin. They are one-piece castings, with an integral base. The newer additions to the catalogue are available in based and un-based versions. The detail is perfectly satisfactory when considering a resin model, and there are remarkably few bubbles on the resin. The rivet heads are in-scale, and the fact that it is a one-piece casting means that there is no assembly-time required before use. As sold, it is an "A" model- which can be simply converted to a "B" by filing off the rear two vision ports on each side. I must admit to a certain amount of bias towards this kit, as it was my first 28mm kit I bought, and it has somewhat of a "benchmark" status for me. |
Commentary: | A great little kit for the early war Germans. |
